there are two Kansas cities // if you look at the map // there’s Kansas City

so there’s your Missouri // there’s Kansas City

and Missouri // Kansas City, Kansas is // I don’t know how it falls but there // much smaller less popular city

Kansas City, Missouri // It’s really more of a // but it’s just more of a big metro area

and where I live // the suburbs of Kansas City // We didn’t really consider ourselves

a suburb of Kansas City, Kansas // it was like Kansas City, Missouri

and I had friends on both sides of the state line // the state line is a road

and then even there were really // when they first started // it wasn’t // here, you didn’t have to dial an area code

because they had different exchanges on both sides // like

Kansas City, Missouri // I had friends on that side and school

but the Jewish congregations were all on the Missouri side of the state except // ya, Drew from New York

so it’s kind of a // Kansas City, Kansas // looks like body guards, senators // it was a dry state
